My name is Rita Minnikin. I was born in 1942 to Charles and Olive Robinson and have 3 brothers.

I married my husband George in 1964 and have 2 grown up children Graham and Gayle, we also have 4 grand children Sarah, Kelly David and Dean.

I first joined the Mothers Club in 1981 but had to leave when I went to work evening shift in a crisp factory. After 17 years I took redundancy.

Since finishing work I am doing things I did not have time for before. Such as doing a computer course, learning to swim and going to keep fit classes.

But best of all I have rejoined the Mothers club again and hope to be a member for many years to come. My favourite childhood memory is being able to go to the shop to buy sweets without a coupon.
