Our 51st Birthday

It's our Fifty-First Birthday Party
Our second half-century has begun
Let's hope we fill it with good works
With friendship, laughter and fun

Our Golden year sadly now has passed
But its' memories I'm sure will always stay
Tucked away fondly in some corners of our hearts
Till we need to recall them another day

So what does the future hold for us now?
What's going on in yon Dorothy's mind?
Is she planning adventures something exciting and new?
But one thing we ask of her, please Dorothy be kind

Tonight let us celebrate the start of our year
In the style that we've become accustomed
A lovely meal, good entertainment to follow
Nice folk for company and happy memories to take home.
