Our vintage
running day was held on 28th April, 2002.
The venue was the Transporter Bridge,
Middlesbrough.
We had the Loline,
the Fleetline, the ex-Hartlepool
RE,, an ex United RE , David Slaters
ex Durham District Bristol L. Mike
Mann's ex Ipwich Atlantean (Best 70s double
deck bus Showbus 2001) and The NEBPS Fleetline ex
Sunderland Busways also gave an excellant service. Four services
were operated from Middlesbrough to Stockton on a 15 minute frequency,
in all 52 journeys were completed and about 1000 passenger journeys undertaken.
One of the big features of the event
was a coach tour around the Cleveland Hills using Roger Burdett's lovely
Bristol LS touring coach. This was totally
full and a duplicate had to be run using the Bristol
RE DP that Richard Waterhouse had brough especially up from Long
Eaton

JDC 99 has been decorated
for the Queens Jubilee,
there is an official logo and a flying Union Flag on the uper deck panels
at each side. It was in place for the Tyne-Tees
Rally and looks very effective. It will be removed at the end of
the year

We attended the re-opening of Middlesbrough
Albert Park, as a guest of Middlesbrough Council, on Saturday 9th
June. 99 drew interested crowds and was much admired. An unusaual visitor
was this giant ostrich!
