Sure Start is a programme funded by central government, which has been designed with the help of local parents, carers and service providers, to provide enhanced health, childcare, educational, social and family services to families within the Sure Start area who have children under four years of age. Sure Start works in partnership with other agencies and parents within the area to ensure that the services provided are the services which are needed.
