AGM 2023 - Our AGM on Saturday 18th March 2023 at Bowburn Community Centre was followed by a series of workshops aimed at preparing groups to make an impact with their displays at local history & heritage events.

  1. Finding your Focus - Marian Morrison & Sarah Hillier (CDFHH). Looking at how to decide what you want to exhibit and how you can make your exhibition appealing.
  2. Preparing Written Material for an Exhibition - Anne Allen, Bishop Auckland Heritage Project. Making your work attractive and appealing at exhibitions.
  3. Using Objects in Displays - Amanda Chinneck, National Trust. Connecting with your audience through a more active experience.
  4. Costumed Interpretation - Coxhoe Local History Group & Margaret Hedley. Investigating how a costumed presence can tell your story.

AGM 2022 The Forum held an Annual General meeting on Saturday 12th March 2022, the first since March 2019, via our Zoom link. After the AGM, our President, John Grundy gave a Zoom presentation and his topic was Receiving the new edition of Pevsner' s Durham for Christmas - a source of pure pleasure.

AGM 2020 - After our AGM on 14th March we have a revised Membership form and Constitution. For details of our new Constitution click here.
