Current Sessions

Drop-In

Mondays 6-8pm

13-18 year olds

The drop-in is designed to be an informal session where you can take part in some of the activities or just sit and chill with your mates. The kind of thing we'll be doing will include baking cakes and biscuits, t-shirt decoration and a 'Silly Olympics ' with prizes. In the future we will also be offering trips and other off site activities to regular attendees. The c-card scheme is also avaliable as part of this session.

Between now and Christmas we’ll also be running art and craft activities which will build up to the ‘Kings and Angels’ parade which will be held on December 1 st, you need to get yourself along sooner rather than later or you’ll miss the workshops.

Coming Soon

Healthy Eating

The healthy eating sessions will cover a range of cooking techniques and food hygiene issues. The range of food to be cooked will include pizzas, soups, cakes, salads, pasta dishes, sauces and much more. This will be a fun session designed to improve your awareness of cooking.

Website

Fancy having a go at helping create a website for young people? We want to create a site that lists events and activities for young people around Bishop Auckland as well as jokes, horoscopes, problem pages, advice, music reviews and.............well YOU decide. If you think that you've got some good ideas then contact Doug using the details at the top of the page.

Volunteers

The Youth Project simply couldn't run without the support of volunteers, in return for your support we will provide training opportunities as well as work experience. We ensure that our volunteers are well supported and make the volunteering experience as enjoyable as possible. If you are interested in volunteering then please contact Doug using the details at the top of the page.
