The Society arranges a series talks at St Giles Church Hall, Gilesgate, Durham DH1 1QQ on Saturday afternoons in the autumn and winter of each year. The talks are open to non members free of charge and commence at 2.00 pm concluding at about 4.00 pm. The recent talks there were:
