Becoming Involved with Sure Start Chester le Street
Being a Parents Committee member - having your say and attending the monthly meetings.
Becoming a Parent Representative - and promoting Sure Start in your local community.
Helping at the Toy Library - which includes logging toys in and out to our families, checking their condition and setting toys out for children to play with.
Helping out with general activities - the staff at Sure Start are always grateful for an extra pair of hands to help out at the regular or holiday activities.
Being involved with the Partnership board, Management Group and the Working Parties - be a part of the action and get involved with the different groups that are involved in planning what Sure Start does and deciding on the next course of action.
These are just a few examples of how you can volunteer with Sure Start.
Laura Duncan coordinates our volunteers and works closely with Chester le Street Volunteers’ Bureau. All our volunteers are registered with the bureau to ensure they receive information about volunteering in Chester le Street and receive the support they need.
