Learning Opportunities for Parents
Laura Duncan and Helen Kirtley make up the Parents Team, and they arrange a variety of training courses, generally on a part time basis to fit in with family life. All courses are supported with childcare provision.
We have a number of courses and training opportunities running at present and in the near future. Please contact the office to find out more.
Laura and Helen work alongside a number of colleges and community based learning organisations such as W.E.A., Education in the Community and Northern Learning Trust to provide a range of courses that cover topics such as Crèche Work and Childcare, 1st Aid and Health & Safety.
Offering a wide range of training courses allows parents to pick and choose what they would like to do at a time that suits them. Parents can build on their skills at a speed they are comfortable with and have the opportunity to attend courses which are going to help them either gain employment, progress within their current job or move into something completely different.
The courses we offer encourage parents to socialise in a friendly environment and gain a qualification in a relaxed and supported way.
Courses which have taken place recently include:
To book your place on future courses or to find out more please contact Laura or Helen on 0191 387 5907.
