My name is Violet Worthington I was born in Ludworth on the 9th march 1942. To Matilda (nee Gibson) and Anthony Prince. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers.I attended Ludworth School at the age of 14 years Rock and Roll arrived Bill Haley and Elvis Presley. The girls in my class went to the Embassy Ballroom to learn Rock and Roll we practised the steps every day in the playground at school. . It was at the Embassy Ballroom that I met my husband John. We married in 1962 and have 2 sons and 4 granddaughters.I joined the Mothers Club 12 years ago with my sister Marlene. Since joining the mothers club I have made lots of friends we are like one big happy family.I am a member of the committee and like to help with the fun raising we are trying to make our village a better place to live. I also shout the bingo numbers. At the age of 58 years I passed my driving test. I am now learning the computer I have helped to put the Mothers Club on the Internet. | |||||
