50th Birthday

Happy 50th Birthday to our Mothers' Club
And to our members one and all
Fifty years! A lifetime,
But what memories to recall
Through wars and shortages,
Strikes and hard times
There never was a mountain high enough
That our Mothers' Club couldn't climb
But Oh how the good times
Made up for the rough
And showed that our ladies
Were made of the right stuff
Our founder members, here, looking all glam
To acknowledge and thank-you is only right
For without your hard work and dedication
We would not be partying tonight

All dressed up in our Sunday best
We're really putting on the style
Let's have a simply marvellous time
That we'll remember for a long, long while
Hasn't the college done us proud?
The food, the décor, just amazing
And musical entertainment to follow
That will make our evening swing
Then when the night is over
And alas the partying ends
Just remember that in our Mothers' Club
We are never short of friends
