About Us!!!!  

Sure Start is a government initiative that aims to work with parents and children to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of pre-school children to ensure that they are ready to thrive when they get to school.  Sure Start Ferryhill & Chilton exists to support local parents and carers in designing local services which best meet the needs of all children and there families.

What Area Is Covered?

Ferryhill, Ferryhill Station, East Howle and Chilton benefits from Sure Start in this area.

Our Family Centres

We have three Family Centres which are at Dean Bank, Ferryhill (this is our main building from which most staff are based) and are open from Monday to Friday also other activities are run from Ferryhill Station Family Centre and Chilton Family Centre which is based in Chilton Community College.
