This is a childrens museum near Leeds

Wednesday 15th August - South Shields
Our annual seaside trip is always a popular choice

Wednesday 29th August - Park Visit
A visit to either Chester-le- Street or Preston Park (how about choosing where you'd like to go )

Swim Trips
The current term time swimming sessions are -
Mondays- 3.45 - 4.30
Saturdays- 10.45 - 12.00
These sessions are held at the Broom School & there is a charge of £1.00 per child /adults go FREE!!!
FREE transport available from The Chilton Wheatsheaf 3.15pm
& Ferryhill Station School 3.25pm Return 4.50 only available on Mondays
Additional sessions will be held through the summer holidays, these are yet to be announced.
In September there will be Water Confidence classes starting.
Our Sure Start midwife Sally is looking into setting up aqua-natal sessions for mums to be .

If you live in the Station you may be aware of the building work at the school.This is to be one of our FAMILY CENTRE'S.Building work should be complete sometime during July or August.We hope to have an open day so people can come and have a look around to become more aware of Sure Start in our area.

Sure Start Toddler Group
Before the school's break up for the summer,Sure Start with the help of Pat Dixon (Chilton's Health Visitor) are hoping to set up a new Toddler Group.This will be held at Chilton Community College on Friday's between 10.00am-11.30am
50p (this includes refreshments)
Local Parks
Four new local parks are being funded by Sure Start and grants from Ferryhill Town Council and Chilton Parish Council.
These are at - Chilton/Mainsforth Cricket Ground/King George V Playing Field/Ferryhill Station-Surtees.
Three of these parks are almost finished, and we plan to hold events to celebrate each of them opening.
Dads worker Paul Earp is hoping to set up a TOP TOTS session with local dads.Paul will also be running a FIRST AID course for dads at Ferryhill Clinic on Friday 13th July - 10.00am-12.00pm.
